1989 - Now
She was born on March 9, in Jeonju, South Korea and also was named Kim Tae-yeon (Korean:김태연, Chinese: 金泰耎). Her family includes her parents, an older brother called Kim Ji-woong (Korean:김지웅) and a younger sister named Kim Ha-yeon.
2004 - 2007
In 2004, TaeYeon won the first place at the SM Youth Best Competition and officially received a contract from SM Entertainment. Therefore, she has secretly and tough been trained for four years and three months.
Successfully she debuted as a member of girl group 'Girls’ Generation' on 5 August, 2007.
2015
In October, Taeyeon debuted as a solo singer with her first album, 'I'. It peaked atop the South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart and has sold over one million digital copies.
